I have the honour to inform Your Lordship
that I have appointed provisionally and subject to
His Majesty's pleasure Ir. William James Carrie,
Chairman, Urban Council, to be temporarily an Official
Member of the Legislative Council, during the absence
on leave of Commander G.F. Hole, Royal Navy, (Retired),
or until further notice, with effect from 14th
Fovember, 1940.
2. A copy of the instrument appointing Mr.
Carrie is enclosed.
3. In accordance with Colonial Regulation No.155
Enclosure No.2. I enclose also a list of the present members of the
Legislative Council.
